Hello, my great grand mother (Edith Jane ???) was a Squirrell. She went into service at the age of 14 and ended up marrying a man called Brandon. They had 3 boys, Edward, Glen (who died in WW 2) and Thomas- my paternal grandfather. I remember as a small child visiting Percy and Ivy (I would place a bet that they were Squirrells), in possibly Hitchen (???) In Suffolk, and would like to find out how many other Squirrells sit on the same branch of the family tree.

This is of possible interest to Katy Squirrell. Met one of your friends Saturday 5 july at Specsavers in Louth. The young lady said she went to school with you. The surnames gave it away. All the Best

I don't know if you have detail of this Squirrell family.
Horace Frank Squirrell 1886-1976 born in Ipswich the second son of Frederick George Squirrell 1861-1942 and Laura Clemence 1860-1950. Horace (uncle Horry) married my Great Aunt Julia Thurza May Bennett 1885-1952. They had 3 daughters Edna Grace 1916-2000, Kathleen M died as an infant,1921-1922 and Thelma Elizabeth 1930-1983 who had learning difficulties. The Squirrell name thus died out in this branch of the family. Horace and his wife kept the post office in Tattingstone village near Ipswich until he retired, but continued to live in Tattingstone. I can supply more info or link you to my Ancestry site

Hello there
My father's sister May Ada Wigzell b. 1893 married an Arthur Charles Squirrell on 8 December 1912 at Christchurch, Camberwell, London. I believe they had one child, a son Ernest (name of my father) G. Squirrell b. 1916. My father was born 1900 in Southwark - father Henry Joseph and mother Sarah. I was born in 1954 in Skegness, Lincolnshire, England. Would love to hear from anyone who may be related to me. Many thanks and best wishes.

Welcome to our new Guest Book on this website. The old Guest Book was discontinued by it's sponsor, so we had to find a new one. This is the place to leave messages regarding your SQUIRRELL family connections. We are researching all SQUIRRELL families which originate in the UK. We would like to help trace your SQUIRRELL family history.
